Daphne Huang 黃心怡: Partner / Taiwan


With over 3 decades of distinguished corporate banking track record, Daphne Huang joins as a Partner to oversee Suwa’s investment banking business in Taiwan. Daphne is the veteran leader in the areas of financial advisory , corporate finance and  banking.  Her achievements and vast experience undertaking numerous successful M&A transactions for the global investment banks and financial advisory firms like Merrill Lynch , CSFB , Ernest &Young , Bankers Trust ,etc. During her tenure as Senior Deputy Executive Vice President of Far Eastern Bank, Daphne was one of the eight members in the bank’s Credit Committee overseeing Bank’s overall credit portfolio worth over USD7.5 billion in valuation. Daphne has engineered multiple cross-broader structured finance projects that were highly profitable and successful for Far Eastern Bank. At Suwa, Daphne will focus on Taiwan/Japan cross-border corporate finance and corporate lending practice and SPV Funds formations. Daphne will also continue to assist Taiwan corporations’ Japan destined merger and acquisition activities.

Thomas Leung 梁寶桐: Partner



An accomplished media sector investment banker, Thomas began his career at ICM in London and Los Angeles.  
Subsequently established Leopold & Co to advising Asian companies on M&A, buyout and private equity transactions

in the media and entertainment industries. Thomas commends extensive business resources in EU, UK, Switzerland,

Tel Aviv and Hong Kong and Greater China region. As Suwa Partner, Thomas will cover TMT sectors corporate finance

and EU+ME family offices LP/investors, and supporting Suwa/HTI on oil and gas European suppliers interface.

Winston Lee 李珩: Managing Partner/CEO


Lee relocated Suwa headquarters from Shanghai to Tokyo in late 2019 just ahead of global pandemic. He didn’t crystal-ball the pandemic but recognized Suwa’s experience, visions and capabilities will be appreciated and utilized in the realigned new global supply chains. With over 30-year accomplished

investment banking and venture investment experience in US/Japan/Greater China region, Lee’s creative thinking, approaches and perseverance will shepherd Suwa partners and clients to new heights.

Prior to Suwa, Lee lead the founding of FarEasTone Telecommunications and  China Unicom, after established “TMT” investment banking practice at Morgan Stanley Asia. He established fund manager - Strait Ventures Olympic which
was acquired by Tano Capital where Lee served as China head. Aside from managing Suwa, Lee is also a Partner of Trafalgar Advisors directing Asian activities of Trafalgar Global Partners.

John Yuan 袁令傑 Partner (Taiwan)



Escaped from covid-19 and a military coup, John left Myanmar and returning to Taiwan in one piece.  Already accomplished at very early age, John Yuan adventured Asia frontier regions to exploring game-changing opportunities in recent years. As core startup team member, John was CIO and Director of Corporate Office of Taiwan Mobiles Co., Ltd., and later CEO of its investment arm subsidiary – Hamilton Concord. Highly seasoned with core competencies in wireless, satellite, aviation, finance and emerging technologies. Over the year, John Yuan was commissioned and to tackle and mission-accomplished on multiple mission-critical assignments. John will continue his SOFC (solid oxide fuel cell) projects, and spearheading Suwa’s most dynamic 5G venture endeavors.

(Hakata International Consulting KK, a Japan company)

A Suwa invested company, Hakata is a technology discovery company with deep knowledge and capabilities in electric automotive, fuel cell/batteries, and related supply chains in sector-leading countries such as Japan, Germany, US, Canada, China and Taiwan. Suwa/Hakata transfuse, integrate technologies among these countries and make investments on selected targets. Suwa/Hakata also provides corporate finance, market development, M&A opportunities to discovered companies.

Tetsuya Kimura 木村哲也: Partner


Kimura co-founded Hakata International with Manfred Glotzbach in 2013, Hakata has become the technology/market bridge between the two auto-centric nations. An automotive production process specialist, Kimura has substantially expanded his technology capacity with extensive networking in Japan EV and fuel cell technology supply chains. Kimura received his aerospace engineering degree in Wichita State University and worked in Detroit to master his US auto-industry training, before he held key design and QC positions in Mitsui Kizoku and Daiichi Seiko. Kimura is an ideal technology discoverer with his combination of Japanese engineering spirit, rare entrepreneurship, and serious industry networking.

Manfred Glotzbach: Partner


Glotzbach is the German mirror image of Kimura with distinguish Engineering and Economic degrees from University Friedberg/GieBen and University Frankfurt am Main. Manfred had startup and built a successful EDAG subsidiary company in Fukuoka Japan, before returning to Germany to managing Tier 1 accounts for EDAG. With extensive  project management experience working with Daimler, BMW and VW/Porsche, Glotzbach had expanded his networking to the entire German auto-industry supply chains. Together with Kimura, Glotzbach had successfully positioned Hakata as the resource fountain of EV, fuel cell and autonomous driving technologies and market development.  


HTI

(High Target Inc., a Belize company)

A Suwa controlled company, Suwa/HTI is an energy products trading house and LNG supply chain service provider. Since 2003, Suwa/HTI sold wide range energy products to sovereign energy companies, major importers, refineries and power companies. Suwa/HTI engages in FSRU provision and LNG terminals development. Over the last 20 years year, Suwa/HTI has developed solid supply relationship with global oil&gas producers, sovereign oil&gas companies, major refiners and world leading oil&gas trading conglomerates.


The main reason of Suwa/HTI success is, through partnership with world class mega-trading companies, Suwa/HTI established trustworthy transaction platforms to facilitate complex transactions, logistics and financial arrangements.

As Suwa/HTI Partner, Paulo Soares facilitated direct supply-side access to Middle East, West Africa sovereign oil and gas producers, sovereign wealth funds, royal family offices and mega oil traders such as Sonangol, Galp, OmaniOil, Aramco, Fujairah Refinery, Eagle Oil Refining, Rosneft subsidiaries, etc.

Jennifer Peipei Wu  吳沛霈: Partner


Over the last two decades, Jennifer Wu has earned trust and respect from vest oil and gas importers, refineries and sovereign oil companies in Greater China Region and ASIAN countries, customers that she had cultivated. Jennifer began her sales and marketing career at Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd. and Bio-Medical Carbon Technology Co., Ltd., Jenny will retain her ownership and General Manager role at MEDTRICORE International, after she joined Suwa as Partner. Jenny possess proven negotiation and problem-solving skills, in addition to capabilities in international banking, trans-oceanic logistic, contract administration, etc., skills required in oil and gas industry.
